Sierra Negra Volcano is a walk that is offered on Isabela Island. The Sierra Negra volcano is located northwest of the island located at 1,123 m above sea level with very active volcanic activity according to reports, the last eruption was recorded in June of 2018 .

The tour begins from the hotel lobby by the guide in the direction of the upper part of the island, between about 45 minutes you will arrive at the first place known as ”El Cura” where the visit of the day will be registered, where the first 30 minutes of walking They will be between wild vegetation and volcanic rocks. After a long walk we will observe the mouth of the volcano that measures 10 kilometers in diameter.

The long walk will last about 2 hours to reach a safari-type cabin where we will take a break to drink water and eat a small box lunch. They will talk about the second visit and the type of terrain that we will be able to appreciate.

Chico Volcano is our final destination, in this magical place you will mention another planet since there are dry lava flows and fumaroles that you can still feel their activity in this magical place you can also see Santiago, Pinzón and Fernandina islands.
